I can only give it approximately $355,000.00. $316,500.00 was the figure at Apr 11, 1928 how far vas it reduced when you took over the Balance Sheet Roughly three lakha.

The original Promissory Notes item was reduced by 300,000.00, that is what it comes to?.

When you took over from the voluntary liquidators, you were provided with a balance sheet which clear ly showed the figure which you have been asked for I think it was a Trial Balance Sheet. Can you produce that Balance Sheet?.

I do not think I had a Balance Sheet.

A typewritten Balance Sheet dated the 10th of

June, 1929.

I received the document shewn from the officials of the Company.

Are they not the voluntary liquidators?.

Yes.

On that Balance Sheet on that date the Subdry Debtors consequent upon these applications loans and promissory notes shewn to be 287,000.00 odd Sundry Debtors as per list "A".

$287,005.91 interest $4,424.37 total $291,430.28, that was handed to you on the 10th of June, or

about, and list "A" refers to these promissory notes in respect of these shares?. The Balance Sheet in not dated. You received that paper in June.

I want you to check the list "A" as corresponding with the names of the persons appearing in the books who have given promissory notes in respect of these shares.

(After consulting list "A") They are the names of the persons who gave promissory notes in respe- ot of the shares, but I have two additional names. List "A" is not all inclusive?.

There are two more on List "B" which are not in my list.
